Cricket Ireland on Wednesday announced that the Irish Women's cricket team will travel to Pakistan for a white-ball series. This will be Ireland's first-ever tour of Pakistan and will consist of three One-Day Internationals (ODI) and as many T20Is.

The tour will get underway in November, with the ODIs taking place between 4 and 9. The ODIs will be part of the ICC Women's Championship 2022-25 and will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The Irish side will arrive in Pakistan on October 29 and will have a gap of four days before the start of the 50-overs series.  The three-T20I series will begin on 12 and end on 16 November, and all games will once again be hosted in Lahore.

With this tour, Ireland Women will be the fourth nation to tour Pakistan in 2022, after Australia, England, and West Indies men's teams.

Earlier in March, Pakistan also hosted Sri Lanka Women for a three-T20I and three-ODI tour.

Pakistan skipper Bismah Maroof sounded excited to host Ireland

"We are all up for an exciting series against Ireland. The series will help us in attracting new fans to the women’s game. The series will provide an opportunity for young cricketers to upskill themselves as per the demands of international cricket,"

Pakistan are placed fourth in the Women's Championship 2022-25 table, while Ireland occupy the eight spot.
