In a major development, Ben Duckett has signed a three-year contract extension with the Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club which will prolong his stay at Trent Bridge.

The Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club on Friday, December 16, confirmed that Duckett has been secured by the club for the next three years.

Since joining the club midway through the 2018 season, the dynamic left-handed batter has scored 4691 runs across formats. Duckett earned the contract extension on the back of a brilliant season with Notts earlier this year.

He scored 1,012 runs at a staggering average of 72.28, including three centuries, to help his team win promotion from County Championship Division Two. The 28-year-old also emerged as the leading run-scorer for the Notts Outlaws in this year's T20 Blast with 396 runs in 14 games.

“The last two years have been very encouraging for us as a red ball side, and to be part of that progression is really pleasing.

I feel like my game is in a good place, which I suppose is largely the result of so much hard work over the last three or four years working on my technique, and leaning on the support of coaches at Notts," said Ben Duckett after signing the contract extension.

Duckett's dream run with the bat for Notts earned him a place on England's ongoing tour to Pakistan. Opening the batting alongside Kent's Zak Crawley, Duckett scored his first Test hundred in the first Test in Rawalpindi. The English opener continued his great run of form and scored twin fifties in the Multan Test.
