PCB unveils schedule of New Zealand's tour of Pakistan

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Tuesday, December 13, announced the revised schedule for the tour of the New Zealand men’s side to Pakistan later this year.

Earlier, it was decided that the first Test between the two nations will begin on December 27. However, the dates have been changed now after the mutual agreement between the Pakistan Cricket Board and the New Zealand Cricket. New Zealand's tour of Pakistan will now kickstart on December 26.

According to the details, PCB and NZC have mutually agreed to bring forward the tour by a day.

"The Pakistan Cricket Board and New Zealand Cricket have mutually agreed to bring forward the tour of New Zealand men’s side to Pakistan by a day," the PCB said in a press release.


The Kane Williamson-led team will become the third high-profile team to visit Pakistan this year, following Australia and England. In the first leg of the tour, New Zealand will play two Tests, which are part of the second ICC World Test Championship cycle. The first Test will be played in Karachi from December 27-31, while the second Test is scheduled to be played in Multan from January 4-8. Both teams will be back in Karachi to play three ODIs that are part of the ICC Super League on January 11, 13, and 15.

Schedule of New Zealand’s tour of Pakistan:

  • First Test— 26-30 December, Karachi
  • Second Test— 3-7 January, Multan
  • First ODI — 10 January, Karachi
  • Second ODI— 12 January, Karachi
  • Third ODI— 14 January, Karachi
