Delray Rawlins signs contract extension with Sussex

Sussex County Cricket Club (SCCC) have handed Delray Rawlins a contract extension, keeping him at the club. Rawlins made his First-Class debut in 2017 and has since established himself as a pivotal player in the XI. 

The batting all-rounder has played 37 FC, 20 List-A, and 75 T20 games, scoring 3,362 and picking up 82 wickets across formats. 

In the recently concluded Royal London Cup, Rawlins achieved his List-A career best of 91 against Gloucestershire and claimed 3 for 22 against Leicestershire, respectively.

"Obviously I have been here my entire professional career and I am looking forward to building on the good things we did this summer.

I’m enjoying my role within the squad, even though I am only 25 the additional responsibility has helped my game, so long may it continue.”

The 25-year-old represented Bermuda in 17 T20Is, accumulating 430 runs and picking up 13 wickets between 2019 and 2021.

He has  also played for sides like Southern Brave, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), and England Under-19.
