As the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the latest rankings on Tuesday, India's Deepti Sharma (737 points) gained big as she got to second spot in the list of top T20I bowlers.

Deepti is closely followed by South Africa spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba, who is placed at the third rank, having 732 points in her tally.

Deepti and Mlaba rose a spot each on the back of sensational performances in the Women's T20I Tri-Series 2023, taking eight and five wickets respectively.

While Sophie Ecclestone (763 points) continues to rule the charts, her lead has been tapered down with both Deepti and Mlaba having one more match to throw her off the numero uno position ahead of the upcoming T20I World Cup.

Amongst other significant shifts in the bowling rankings, Australia's Megan Schutt (700 points) and England's Katherine Brunt (680 points) jumped to fifth and sixth rank respectively. India spinner Rajeshwari Gayakwad (646 points) moved up to 14th from 18th spot.

The South African duo of Laura Wolvaardt (619 points) and Tazmin Brits (575 points) rose up to ninth and 18th place in the rankings for batters.

In the all-rounder rankings, Ellyse Perry (247 points) replaced Tahlia McGrath (243 points) for the 10th position.
