DC vs RCB: Mahipal Lomror's Breathtaking Knock Puts RCB in Commanding Position

After a series of underwhelming performances, Promising Indian batter Mahipal Lomror oozed his class with the bat tonight, as his flamboyant fifty put Royal Challengers Bangalore in the driving seat in their ongoing group-stage encounter against Delhi Capitals.

After opting to bat first, Royal Challengers Bangalore got off to a solid start, courtesy of a magnificent opening stand of 82 runs between Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli. However, experienced Australian all-rounder Mitchell Marsh wreaked havoc in the visitors' camp, dismissing Du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell in consecutive deliveries.

But as soon as Lomror joined Kohli in the middle, he started changing the course of the match quickly, scoring at a brisk pace. He went berserk particularly against the DC spinners, allowing Kohli to pace his innings at one end.

Despite Kohli getting out, the swashbuckling southpaw kept playing his shots fearlessly all around the park and eventually completed his first-ever IPL half century.

His impressive knock, glittered with six gorgeous boundaries and three humongous sixes, played a pivotal role in maintaining a healthy scoring rate for RCB and leading them to a formidable total of 181 runs at the end of 20 overs.

Lomror's knock comes as a breath of fresh air for RCB, who were searching for answers to resolve their middle-order woes. Considering the two-paced nature of the surface, they will start as the favourites in the latter half to win this game.
