In a significant development, Royal Challengers Bangalore have won the toss and opted to bat first against Delhi Capitals in their tenth group-stage match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. Veteran batter Kedar Jadhav, who recently replaced David Willey, has been included in the playing XI. He replaces Suyash Prabhudessai in the RCB XI.

At toss, RCB skipper Faf du Plessis explained that they would bat, considering the dryness of the surface.

"We will bat first. Ravi , it looks like a dry surface and hopefully no dew tonight. I mean I think T20 cricket has lot to do with the momentum and hopefully, we get the momentum going tonight. We need to put a decent score on the board and we have a pretty good bowling line-up. The old man is back. Kedar Jadhav is playing."

Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals skipper David Warner disclosed that they would’ve batted first as well due to the same reason. He also informed about the inclusion of Mitchell Marsh and Mukesh Kumar, while expecting a more spirited return from his troops.
