CSK Legend To Join Politics; All Set To Begin Second Innings Of His Life

Former Indian and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) batter Ambati Rayudu is all set to start his new career in the field of politics. The recently-retired Andhra cricketer revealed the same to the local reporters during his visit to Multuru village of Vatticherukuru block in the district on Wednesday.

During his visit, Rayudu spent time with school students over Lunch.

The 37-year-old recently visited his native Guntur district to 'to understand the issues confronting the people at the grassroots level.

"I shall soon enter politics in Andhra Pradesh to serve the people. Before that, I have decided to visit different parts of the district to know the people's pulse and understand their problems."

Though Ambati hasn't revealed which political party he'll sworn his allegiance to, his social media posts have led to suggestions that may join be the ruling YSR Congress-led by YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.

In April, the former CSK cricketer showered praises on CM Reddy on his Twitter account.

Notably, he also met with the Chief Minister after winning the IPL trophy earlier this year.

However, Rayudu has denied suggestions that he is looking to contest the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections from his native district of Guntur.

Rayudu recently called time on his career after a triumphant IPL season with CSK.
