England's rise in white-ball cricket since 2015 has been phenomenal. Former captain Eoin Morgan's aggressive approach radicalised limited-overs cricket, leading them to first claiming the ICC World Cup in 2019, and now under Jos Buttler, clinching their second ICC T20 World Cup this month.

Moeen Ali, who has been a part of both World Cup-winning campaigns, stated that other teams want to mimic England's template going forward. Speaking to PTI, Ali gave the example of the late 1990s, when every nation wanted to imitate the Australian cricket team, who ruled between 1999-2003.

"Whenever a team is winning, for example Australia. They used to win all the trophies. Everyone wanted to copy them. Now England have won 50 over and T20 world titles and teams want to copy us.

We played South Africa and India in the summer. They beat us because they were playing the same brand of cricket we were playing. So we knew we had to get better and it is a good template to follow. I won't be surprised if other teams follow that template,"

Ali is currently playing in the Abu Dhabi T10 League for first-time entrant Morrisville Samp Army.
