Best Performers of Lanka Premier League 2022
The Lanka Premier League 2022 concluded on Friday (December 23) and witnessed Jaffna Kings securing a title victory for the third time in a row.
In the finals, Stars posted a total of 163 on the board, with contributions from Dinesh Chandimal and Ravi Bopara. In reply, Kings managed to chase down the score with four balls to spare. Avishka Fernando and Sadeera Samarawickrama were impressive with the willow.
The tournament proved to be successful due to the presence of experienced cricketers and local talent. Here are the five best performers of the Lanka Premier League 2022.
1. Carlos Brathwaite

The Caribbean all-rounder, Brathwaite returned as the best bowler in this edition. He scalped 18 wickets in eight matches at an economy of 6.84. Further, he scored 58 runs with the willow as well.
2. Avishka Fernando
The experienced campaigner continued his rich form in the home-grown T20 league. Avishka was exceptional with his consistency to top the batting charts with 339 runs in 10 innings.
3. Sadeera Samawickrama
The talented wicket-keeper batter trumped Dinesh Chandimal to find the presence on this list due to his influence on helping Kings win the title. He garnered 294 runs in nine innings at a prolific average of 58.80.
4. Vijayakanth Viyaskanth

The youngster emerged as the finest leg-spinner in the tournament. Viyaskanth bagged 13 wickets in eight games at an efficient economy of 6.68.
5. Kasun Rajitha
With an accurate line-length and optimum pace, Kasun was impressive to blow away the top-order batters. The 29-year-old picked 13 wickets in eight games at an economy of 6.38, and helped Stars to reach the final.
