Having comfortably pocketed the three-match Test series by winning the first two matches, England could experiment in the third and final encounter against Pakistan starting Saturday in Karachi.

Ahead of the final match of the historic tour, skipper Ben Stokes hinted that the team management could play Rehan Ahmed. The Nottingham-born was a late entrant into the squad following an impressive showing at England Lions' preparatory camp in the UAE.

As per Metro, Stokes praised Ahmed for his all-round abilities and revealed that the youngster is in contention for his debut.

Here's what Stokes said

"We did speak about us having no issues with selecting him if we felt it was the right option. I don’t think this is a case of giving caps away,

"He loves cricket. I’m struggling to work out what he is, whether he’s a batter or a leg-spinner, which shows how much talent he’s got. Having a wrist-spinner is always exciting but you’ve still got to nurture talent, even how exciting it is."

If Ahmed does indeed debut for England on Saturday, he will be the youngest men's Test player bettering Brian Close. The 18-year-old has played three First-Class, seven List-A, and 19 T20 matches.
