Pakistan captain Babar Azam may have failed in the first T20I against New Zealand, but the classy batter proved his mettle in the subsequent fixture by slamming an astonishing century in the shortest format of the format. With this knock, Babar has smacked his third T20I ton and 29 across all forms.

For Pakistan, the 28-year-old is placed is sixth-placed in the race to most international hundreds. He is just behind Younis Khan (41), Mohammad Yousuf (39), Inzamam-ul-Haq (35), Saeed Anwar (31) and Javed Miandad (31).

He has also become the first-ever captain with three T20I hundreds to his name, going past India's Rohit Sharma, who has two tons in his kitty.

Returning to the fixture, Babar smacked an unbeaten 101 off just 58 deliveries, including 11 boundaries and three sixers, helping Pakistan post a gigantic total of 192/4 at Gaddafi.

The Pakistan skipper was initially well aided by his opening partner in crime, Mohammed Rizwan, who did notch his 24th fifty in the shortest format, and Iftikhar Ahmed's quickfire 33*. 

Pakistan already have a 1-nil lead in the series, and they would look to solidify it with another victory.
