Delhi Capitals (DC) were five down for 98 when left-handed batter Axar Patel walked out to the crease as they were in desperate need of a miracle.

Skipper David Warner was at the other end struggling, unable to break free himself from the shackles. Meanwhile, Patel came in and started to bang right from the start as he changed the game for the home side.

Patel was in no mood to put down his weapons as the Southpaw took just 22 balls to reach his half-century that helped Delhi reach a decent total. Four fours and five sixes eventually changed the face of the game as his strike rate was a massive 216 when his innings ended.

Delhi eventually reached 172 as they were bowled out within 19.4 overs and with this, they became the first team this season to be cleaned up while batting first.

Moreover, from the opposition camp Jason Behrendorff and Piyush Chawla took the matters in their own hands to bag three wickets each.

The biggest problem with DC was their entire batting order once again faltered with just David Warner apart from Axar, crossing 50-run mark but that too came at a strike rate of 108.

After his blitz with the bat, Axar has a huge role to play with the ball too as Delhi will be out to defend 173.
