In the ongoing fixture of the Bangladesh and Ireland series, the home team again blistered with the bat. Bangladesh will yet again surpass the 300+ mark, courtesy of Litton Das' astonishing 71-ball 70 and Najmul Hossain Shanto's remarkable 73.

Das, who has been having a purple patch in recent years, gave Bangladesh a solid start after captain Tamim Iqbal's early dismissal. In that process, the right-handed opener completed 2000 runs in the ODI format, becoming the ninth batter from his nation.

Debuted in 2015, the 28-year-old could only become a regular member in 2021, and since then he hasn't done anything questionable. In 65 ODIs thus far, Das has amassed 2015 runs, scoring five centuries in the format with a career-best of 176 versus Zimbabwe.

Not just at the international level but the Bangladesh batter has proven his prowess across borders as well. Earlier in the year, he was employed by Kolkata Knight Riders for the upcoming edition of the IPL.

Das is scheduled to leave for India after the conclusion of this series to join the KKR camp in Kolkata.

At the time of writing, Bangladesh have posted 241/4 on the board after 40 overs of play.
