Ahead of the much anticipated Boxing Day Test between South Africa and Australia in Melbourne, South Africa's express pace bowler Anrich Nortje revealed that the Proteas bowlers are going to stick to their plans and will focus on the job in hand as they build up to the second Test starting on Monday.

South Africa lost the opening game of the ongoing three-match Test series and are now trailing 1-0 with the next game scheduled to be played at the MCG.

On a difficult batting wicket, the Proteas batters were outplayed in the series opener as they were skittled out for 152 and 99 on a green Gabba pitch. The Proteas suffered a six-wicket defeat against the hosts inside two days and now trail the three-match Test series 1-0.

In order to win the next Test and level the series, Nortje wants the bowlers to repeat the performance of the second innings in the Brisbane Test where a spirited Kagiso Rabada bagged four wickets in less than eight overs before going on to lose the game by six wickets.

“I don’t think we are going to change anything compared to what we did in the second innings of the last Test, we are going to come out the same way we did. It is not going to be as easy. There was a lot happening on that wicket but we must just try to stick to our standards," said Anrich Nortje ahead of the Boxing Day Test.

Despite having one of the world's best fast-bowling attacks, the Proteas need to find a batting unit that can post respectable scores against the highly dangerous Australian bowling attack in their home conditions.
