After missing out on his sixth Test century, Indian wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant insists that he doesn't think about the three-figure mark; instead, he tries to play the situation.

Pant arrived in the middle when India were tottering on 72/3 and stitched a crucial 159-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer (87) for the fifth wicket to put India in the driving seat.

When looking for a big one, Pant was caught by Nurul Hasan behind the stumps off Mehidy Hasan Miraz's bowling in the 68th over. He eventually missed his hundred by only seven runs.

Here's what Pant said

"As an individual, I don't think about the landmark so much. Three figures are just a number for me, I try to play out the situation most of the times. If it happens, it's good. If it doesn't, can't control that."

The southpaw has now recorded the most number of scores in the 90s in Test cricket among wicket-keepers. This was his sixth score in the 90s in the red-ball format. Pant surpassed Dhoni, who registered five such Test scores throughout his career.
