Australia and Perth Scorchers' all-rounder, Andrew Tye became the fastest player to achieve 300 wickets in T20s. He achieved this feat against Brisbane Heat in the finals of the Big Bash League.

A veteran of 211 matches, Tye is the backbone of the Perth Scorchers team, and has done exceptionally well for other franchises as well.

He now lead the race, which includes players like Rashid khan, and Lasith Malinga. Rashid bagged this feat in 213 matches, at a strike-rate of 17.1, whereas, Malinga picked up his 300th T20 wicket in 222 matches.

Moreover, Tye has the best strike-rate amongst the other two bowlers, 15.1, which shows his ability to consistently churn out wickets.

It was the wicket of James Bazley, which gave Tye the honour to cross Rashid Khan's record. It was a slower ball, full toss that Bazley whipped on the leg side and the fielder at deep mid was there to catch it.

Andrew Tye: 211 matches, strike-rate 15.1

Rashid khan: 213 matches, strike-rate 17.1

Lasith Malinga: 222 matches, strike-rate 16.6
