The cricketing world has been closely watching the return to form of India's premier pacer, Jasprit Bumrah. After facing initial skepticism on his return from injury against Ireland, Bumrah has swiftly silenced his critics with his exceptional performances in the Asia Cup 2023 and the ongoing World Cup 2023.

Aakash Chopra lauds Jasprit Bumrah's emphatic return post injury

Recently, while speaking exclusively on OneCricket’s LOC 3.0, former Indian cricketer and renowned analyst, Aakash Chopra weighed in on Bumrah's resurgence. Addressing the murmurs of doubt that surfaced after Bumrah's comeback game against Ireland, Chopra effusively lauded the right-arm quick for his emphatic return.

“Jasprit Bumrah is back to his best. He is bowling phenomenally. What I loved the most about Bumrah is how a top-quality cricketer gets back to his best when he steps onto the grand stage of the World Cup,” remarked Chopra.

It is worth mentioning that Bumrah's numbers in the first two World Cup 2023 games lend weight to Chopra's endorsement. In India's opening match against Australia, he delivered an outstanding spell, finishing with figures of 2/35, helping India secure a victory by six wickets.

Not one to rest on his laurels, Bumrah went on to shine in the subsequent game against Afghanistan, capturing 4 wickets for just 39 runs in his 10 overs. His crucial performances have been a linchpin in both of India's victorious outings.

Meanwhile, the cricketing community is buzzing with anticipation for the marquee clash between India and Pakistan, scheduled for Saturday, October 14 at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Given the historical significance and the intense rivalry between the two nations, Bumrah's form is expected to be a vital factor in the outcome of the high-voltage IND vs PAK encounter.
