PCB chief executive Ramiz Raja has strongly refuted former captain Shahid Afridi's claims that star pacer Shaheen Afridi is paying for his injury treatment in London.

Shaheen, who suffered knee injury during the Test series in Sri Lanka back in July, is currently in London for his treatment and rehabilitation.

The PCB have been criticised by former cricketers and pundits for mishandling their premier pacer's injury.

However, things took a controversial turn this week when Shaheen's future father-in-law, Shahid Afridi claimed on TV channel 'Samaa TV'  that the board have abandoned the 22-year-old cricketer.

Here's what Shahid Afridi had said:

''When I talk about Shaheen.. that guy went to England on his own. He bought his own ticket, he spent his own money to stay in a hotel. I arranged a doctor for him, then he contacted the doctor. PCB is not doing anything, he was doing that on his own.”
