Former Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson believes that Team India have taken a bit of a risk by including just 4 specialist seamers in their T20I World Cup squad.

India recently revealed their squad for the upcoming marquee event, which is set to take place in Australia in the month of October and November.

The 15-member touring party boasts of five pace-bowling options, including all-rounder Hardik Pandya.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Harshal Patel are the specialist seamers.

However, on pacy, bouncy tracks of Australia, Johnson feels India could have added another seamer to their main squad.

India will play a crucial group-stage fixture against South Africa at the Perth Stadium on October 30, where Johnson believes that teams may even play four fast bowlers.

Here's what Mitchell Johnson had to say

"If you got an all-rounder (fast bowling) and couple of spinners, four fast bowlers it is a bit of a risk. But India are probably looking at playing two pacers and an all rounder (Hardik Pandya) and two spinners.

"In Australia, you surely need to play three fast bowlers, possibly four in certain conditions, for example Perth. I guess they have a plan going in but it is a bit of a risk if you only take four (pacers)."

It will be interesting to see how India construct their bowling attack in the World Cup

With champion pacer Jasprit Bumrah and T20 specialist Harshal Patel returning to the set-up, their death bowling will be bolstered.

India went in with two seamers and Hardik Pandya in the recent Asia Cup, and it paid off disastrously.

While Hardik had a poor Super-4, Bhuvneshwar Kumar struggled at the death, eventually costing the games against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Arshdeep Singh, however, was exceptional with his skills at the death, but, with Harshal Patel back, the management will have a decision on their hands when they finalize the playing XI.

India will open their T20I World Cup campaign against Pakistan at the iconic MCG on October 23.
