Lancashire will greet Kent in the summit clash of the Royal London One-Day Cup 2022, set to be played at Trent Bridge, Nottingham on Saturday, September 17.

Kent squashed up Hampshire by three wickets in the semi-final fixture and secured their berth in the final of the 50-over county competition.

Overall, the Spitfires have had a topsy-turvy season, where they won four of their eight league stage matches and finished third in the Royal London One-day Cup 2022 Group B points table.

As for Lancashire, they outsmarted Sussex in the semi-final, thanks to Dane Vilas's belligerent century knock coupled with a clinical bowling performance, which saw them grafting their way to the showpiece fixture at Trent Bridge.

The Red Rose Club were one of the best performers of the season, having won five of their eight group stage matches and finishing second in the league standings.

Adding more to the excitement ahead of this match, Kent swatted aside Lancashire by two wickets in a nail-biter the last time they met in the season. Lancashire will look to avenge the group stage humiliation in the all-important fixture.

Pitch Report

Trent Bridge is generally a high-scoring venue, where batters look to attack from the word go. There won't be much swing available for the pacers, however, to avoid the wrath of the batters, they can keep their line and lengths under check. Spinners will play a crucial role in middle overs and whoever wins the toss will prefer to chase.
