On Monday, October 13, India and the West Indies kick-started play on day 4 of the 2nd Test at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. West Indies opener John Campbell struck the first century for the visitors on this tour and helped his side pile up crucial runs.

Notably, the West Indies were in a bad situation in the ongoing Test as India, batting first, put 518 runs on the board, while the visitors tumbled for just 248 runs in the first innings. India had enforced a follow-on, and the Windies had already lost two wickets for just 35 runs.

However, Campbell stepped up at the right time and smashed a brilliant century to stun the hosts and two-time WTC runners-up. It was a great knock from the WI opener, but he had a scary moment in his 90s and had his heart in his mouth when India took a review for a potential LBW.

The incident occurred when Campbell was batting on 94, and a Bumrah delivery struck him on the pad. The bowler appealed, but the umpire was unmoved. The Indian seamer quickly opted for a review, and it was a tough wait for Campbell.

The replay showed the ball had hit the bat and pad at the same time. There was a long delay, and eventually, the third umpire gave the batter the benefit of doubt and stuck with the on-field umpire's decision. Jasprit Bumrah was unhappy as the replay showed that if there hadn't been any bat, then Campbell would have fallen short of his century.

A disheartened Bumrah was quickly captured on stump-mic talking to the umpire and blaming technology for denying him a wicket. "It's out. You know it as well, but the technology can't prove it"

Bumrah has had an average Test as the right-arm seamer has taken just a solitary wicket in this match.
