'You Can Do Anything...' Nitish Rana Reveals His Chat with Rinku Singh

The IPL 2023 has not been a rosy road for KKR as their have been plenty of roadblocks on the way. However, one name is shining bright amidst all the chaos for KKR and that is Rinku Singh. He has been the talk of the town and against PBKS at Eden, he once again, showed his stellar finishing skills. As a result, KKR notched up an important win and are still in that intense playoff race.

Nitish Rana, the KKR skipper was naturally very happy with his team's performance and himself played a key role in the win with a fifty. In the post-match interview, Rana said that his plan was to hold one end up and keep on batting. He added that Iyer had an issue with his ankle and they were looking for big overs in the middle overs. He was also happy with Russell's performance and said that they were waiting since last 10 games for a big knock from Russell.

"When I was batting my plan was to hold one end and keep on batting. Venkatesh had some problem with his ankle so we were discussing if one of us can get 3 big overs here then we can take the game away. We got that one big over. We were waiting since 10 matches for that one big Russell innings. I knew he was one big knock away. I am telling him the same since few matches,"

He also talked about Rinku Singh and said he always tries to encourage Rinku Singh and keeps telling Rinku that he can do anything. He also talked about the love Rinku Singh is getting from the crowd. Rana said that he was getting goosebumps seeing crowd cheering for Rinku Singh and added that he is getting the love that Russell gets from KKR fans.

"I told Rinku that what you have done is unachievable for many great players and if you have done that then you can do anything. The crowd was cheering his name and I was getting goosebumps. This is the love he has earned which Russell earned in the past. The crowd was cheering for both of them."

KKR will play their next game against Rajasthan Royals on 11th of May at the iconic Eden Gardens once again.
