KKR vs PBKS | Match Hangs Right in Balance as Punjab Kings Fight Back

IPL 2023 is turning out to be one exciting season with plenty of last-over thrillers and the race for playoffs is just intensifying with each passing game. Now, in the 53rd game of the season, KKR and PBKS are up against each other and it seems that we are in for another thriller.

Punjab Kings scored 179 after electing to bat first courtesy of a well-compiled fifty by Shikhar Dhawan and a handy cameo from Shahrukh Khan. In reply, Jason Roy and Gurbaz came out all guns blazing. However, Ellis who was brought in as an Impact Player struck in his first over and got rid of Gurbaz to bring some parity in the proceedings. However, Roy continued his onslaught at the other end and KKR managed to score 52 in the Powerplay.

 Harpreet Brar though brought Punjab Kings in the game as he got rid of Roy in the 8th over. Couple of tight overs followed after that, but Rana managed to take down Livingstone for 16 runs in 11th over and at the time of writing, KKR need 70 off 42 balls with Nitish Rana and Venkatesh Iyer at the crease.
