Yashasvi Jaiswal in action for India vs WI [X.com]
The ongoing Asian Games have been quite historic for the Indian contingent, who have been snapping up medals left, right, and centre. Indian men's cricket team began their much-awaited campaign, against Nepal in QuarterFinal 1, where Yashasvi Jaiswal starred on a tough track at Hangzhou.
The left-handed batter slammed his maiden T20I ton and became the first Indian batter to score a hundred in Asiad. Jaiswal also became the youngest — 21 years, nine months and 13 days — Indian batter to slam a T20I century, breaking the record of countryman Shubman Gill, who achieved it in 23 years and 146 days against New Zealand earlier this year.
The 21-year-old also became the eighth Indian batter to record a T20I ton after the likes of Suresh Raina, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Deepak Hooda and Gill.
Jaiswal started off hitting Nepal bowlers all around the park and soon reached his fifty in 22 balls. Jaiswal's innings showed no slowing down despite India losing wickets at one end in quick succession.
The young Rajasthan Royals (RR) player, who missed his first-ever T20 hundred against West Indies, managed to convert his start and reached the 100-run milestone in 48 balls, which included eight fours and seven sixes.

Jaiswal fell for a splendid 100, getting out to Dipendra Singh Aree. The youngster's rise in international cricket has been phenomenal, having scored a Test hundred in his debut Test against West Indies.
Rinku Singh's quick-fire 37 off 15, ensured India crossed the 200-run mark and set Nepal a steeping target of 203.
