Babar Azam is a big name in Pakistan cricket, and there is a crazy fan following around him. The craze for one of the best Pakistani batters of modern times was evident in the ongoing flood relief match between the Peshawar Zalmi and Pakistan Legends XI at the Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar.

Notably, the Legends won the toss and put the Zalmi to bat. The PSL franchise put 144 runs on the board before they were bundled out in their final over of 15 overs innings.

The incident that sparked the craze of Azam occurred after the first innings. When the Pakistan legends were about to begin their innings, a fan came out from the crowd and hugged the star. Soon, a chaotic situation arose with more fans breaking in. More people from the crowd rushed into the field as the security personnel tried to regain control of the situation. One of the fans was even seen chasing Babar Azam.

Notably, the match is being played to provide relief to the families affected by the recent floods in the Punjab region of India and Pakistan. While India endured massive damage due to the calamity, some reports claim the casualties and damage for Pakistan have been even more grave.
