Travis Head tonked his fourth ODI century through his batting spectacle against New Zealand in Dharamsala at the 2023 World Cup. Returning to the playing XI after nearly a month-and-a-half, the cricketer made an instant impact for his country at the grand stage, racing to his hundred within the first 22 overs of the innings.

Head slapped a 59-ball ton, thus marking the third-fastest ODI century among all batters against New Zealand and the quickest overall against the ‘Black Caps’ in World Cups. The brash opener even outscored batting dynamite David Warner at the other end, who himself clubbed a six-laden 81.

As one can expect, Travis Head received a huge round of applause from his dressing room, with his captain Pat Cummins among others all standing up and acknowledging his turbulent innings.

In the 22nd over of the Australian innings, Travis Head nudged Glenn Phillips for a single to notch up a 59-ball ton on his comeback game. His skipper Pat Cummins among other teammates instantly acknowledged his milestone knock by giving him a huge round of applause in the dressing room.

Unfortunately for Head, the cricketer could not convert his 22-over century into a big one as he was cleaned up by Phillips just a couple of overs later in the innings. Having slammed 10 boundaries and seven blazing sixes, the dynamic left-handed made his way back to the pavilion with a 67-ball 109 to his name.

Earlier in the match, he along with David Warner had shared 175 runs for the opening wicket from just 19.1 overs after they were put into bat by their antipodean rivals.
