WI vs IND | Virat Kohli Achieves Rare Feat During Barbados ODI

The white-ball leg of India's tour of the Caribbean started with Rohit Sharma and Co. winning the first One-Day International (ODI) against West Indies in Barbados by 5 wickets.

While the scoreline looks quite commanding, Indian batters almost ended up making a mess of the ODI, having asked to chase 115 after spinners Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav bamboozled Windies batters.

Interestingly, coach Rahul Dravid and Sharma opted to shuffle the batting order and move the latter and Virat Kohli down the order.

Kohli, who is India's most dependable No.3 in ODIs, did not come to bat, despite the side losing five wickets, where Sharma batted at the No.7 position after the team suffered a short-collapse.

Interestingly, this was the first time in his international career that Kohli, who recently played his 500th match for Team India, did not come to bat despite India losing four or more wickets in an innings.

The former RCB captain has batted at No.7 as well in ODIs but was slated to enter as No.8 on Thursday.

Kohli, 34, has played 275 ODIs, and amassed 12,898 runs, out of which 10,777 have come in No.3 positions, including 46 tons and 65 fifties.

Overall, the former skipper has played 501 internationals for India, stockpiling 25,582 runs with 76 centuries and 131 half-centuries in a career spanning over 15 years.
