India captain Rohit Sharma lashed out at Shardul Thakur for misfielding during the 1st ODI match against West Indies at Kensington Oval on Thursday, July 27.
It all happened in the 19th over of the first inning when Shai Hope played a drive towards mid-off on Kuldeep Yadav’s ball. Shardul Thakur, who was stationed there put on a nonchalant fielding effort which saw West Indies taking 3 runs.
This didn't go down well with captain Rohit Sharma, who was visibly furious with the Shardul’s lacklustre fielding effort. In the video that went viral on the internet, the captain can be seen lashing out at the pacer for his effort in the field.

Opting to field first, India put on a bowling masterclass as they bowled out West Indies for mere 114 runs in 23 overs. Kuldeep Yadav's four-wicket haul earned him the spotlight, while Jadeja also put in an excellent effort with the ball.
Apart from them, Hardik Pandya, who took up the responsibility with the new ball made a quick impact by dismissing West Indies opener Kyle Mayers. Mukesh Kumar and Shardul Thakur also didn't miss out on the action, both contributing with a wicket each.
In reply, India lost five wickets as they decided to experiment with their batting order, but eventually chased down the target in 22.5 overs to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. The second ODI will be played on Saturday, July 29, at the same venue.
