Seems like India have finally found their perfect Test opening pair in the form of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal. 

The Indian openers have been in sublime touch in the ongoing West Indies series, and they have broken another record in the second Test currently taking place at Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad. The duo have notched up the fastest ever Fifty runs partnership for India in Test cricket. The milestone was completed in just 5.3 overs.

With a lead of 183 to play with, Indian openers decided to attack the West Indies bowlers right from the word go. The intention was clear as the boundary floodgates opened in the first over and the West Indian attack had no answer to it.

Jaiswal announced his intention with a stunning six over the cover in the very first over of the innings. Soon, Rohit joined the fun as the bowlers looked helpless.

At one stage, the run-rate skied upto 10 runs per over, as the Indian batting duo pushed for a victory. The early carnage from the two openers meant that India registered their opening fifty in just 5.3 overs, which is the fastest every fifty runs partnership for India in Tests.

Rohit played one of his signature pull shot when he smacked Alzarri Joseph for a six towards the mid-wicket region.

The Indian skipper, who already has a century and a fifty in the ongoing series, completed his second fifty of the game in just 35 deliveries. At the time of writing, India are going strong at 98 for 1, with a lead of 281. After playing a stunning innings, Rohit was dismissed for a well-compiled 57.
