Maharaja Trophy KSCA T20 Auction | GT Star Attracts Highest Price; Mayank Agarwal, Manish Pandey Earn Big Bucks

The much-awaited KSCA Maharaja Trophy auction finally reached its conclusion on Saturday, July 22 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. The auction saw a fierce battle for some of the finest cricketing talents with Gujarat Titans' Abhinav Manohar stealing the spotlight as the most-expensive player. Shivamogga Lions bagged him for a whopping 15 Lakhs, making him their star acquisition.

The coveted top-order batter, Abhinav Manohar, displayed his prowess in the IPL while representing Gujarat Titans, and his impressive performance caught the attention of several franchises vying for his signature. Ultimately, it was the Shivamogga Lions who emerged victorious in securing his services, further bolstering their batting line-up with a player of exceptional talent.

Not far behind in the spotlight were the other sought-after players who garnered substantial bids from the franchises. Bengaluru Blasters successfully signed the Mayank Agarwal for INR 14 lakh, while defending champions Gulbarga Mystics and Hubli Tigers picked up Padikkal for INR 13.2 lakh and Pandey for INR 10.6 lakh.

Hubli Tigers too made significant signings, bringing in the leggie KC Cariappa for 7.2 Lakhs and all-rounder Pravin Dubey for 5.8 Lakhs. Krishnappa Gowtham found himself heading to the Mangaluru Dragons for INR 6.6 Lakhs, while the speedster Ronit More went to the same for INR 4.6 Lakhs.

Mysore Warriors strengthened their squad with the acquisitions of left-arm spinner J Suchit for 8.4 Lakhs and fast bowler Prasidh M Krishna for 7.4 Lakhs, alongside the seasoned batter Karun Nair for 6.8 Lakhs.

Moving on to the fast bowlers, Vijaykumar Vyshak, who previously secured an IPL deal with Royal Challengers Bangalore found a new home with the Mystics for INR 8.8 lakh. Meanwhile,  Mysuru Warriors secured the return of Prasidh Krishna for INR 7.4 lakh.

The spin-bowling allrounder. Shreyas Gopal was not left behind either as Lions acquired him for INR 7.4 lakh.

The KMCA matches are set to take place from August 13 to 29 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
