After a snoozfest on Day 3, the second Test match between India and West Indies needed a spark, and that was provided by Mohammed Siraj with the ball in hand.

The speahead of the Indian pace attack picked up 5 wickets in the first innings, and knocked over the West Indies for 255.

Rohit Sharma and India couldn't have asked for a better start, when debutant Mukesh Kumar picked up Alick Athanaze in the first over of the day. One brought the downfall of another as Siraj got the big wicket of Jason Holder in the very next over. Holder got an outside-edge of a good length delivery and Ishan Kishan plucked out a simple catch behind the stumps.

From 229 for 6 to 255 all-out, the Windies lower-order hardly provided any resistance and fell pray to the wrath of Siraj, who registered his best figures in Test cricket.

Barring Siraj's 5 wickets, it was Mukesh Kumar, who shown in his debut Test. The Bengal pacer picked up 2 for 48 and was impressive with the new ball.

Despite a solid start by the openers, the host failed to carry the momentum and as a result, India have a lead of 183.

For West Indies, Kraigg Brathwaite was the top-scorer, with 75 crucial runs.
