How many times have you seen someone taking down Jasprit Bumrah in a T20 game? This is exactly what Karun Nair did on Sunday as he hammered Bumrah for 18 runs in a single over and shattered his confidence as the comeback man of DC took the best bowler of MI with utmost ease.
Bumrah gets hammering of his life
In the sixth over of the game, he started off with a six, and it was followed by a boundary and another six as Bumrah had no idea what was happening. The MI pacer lost his lines and lengths and Karun Nair made a mockery of his bowling as he scored 2 runs in the last ball to complete an extraordinary 18-run over.

He was ruthless in his approach as Jasprit Bumrah conceded 29 runs in 2 overs and the majority of them were scored by Nair as Bumrah looked clueless for the first time in a long time. However, closer to his maiden IPL hundred, Nair was dismissed for a brilliant 89.
DC etching closer to the target
DC are well on their course to achieve a fifth straight win in the league. They already have won 4 matches and another one wil help them continue their undefeated streak. Nair's assault meant that 140/3 inside 12 overs with KL Rahul and Axar Patel on the charge in a crucial run-chase. At the moment, DC need 62 off 46 with a required rate of just 8.08.
