In a significant development, Lucknow SuperGiants (LSG) won the toss and opted to bowl first in their second match of the IPL 2025. At toss, LSG skipper Rishabh Pant revealed that his side would chase to capitalise on the playing conditions at this venue.
Why Have LSG Left Out Mitchell Marsh From Playing XI Vs SRH?
Meanwhile, the SuperGiants have left out Mitchell Marsh from their playing XI for the high-octane clash against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Marsh sustained a back injury, which sidelined him from the Champions Trophy earlier this year. As he made a comeback, it was revealed that he would play purely as a batter in the IPL this season.
So, although Marsh is not in the playing XI, he is among the impact substitutes and will likely replace one of the bowlers during the run chase.
Marsh showcased remarkable form in the last game, hammering a belligerent 32-ball 72, including six boundaries and as many sixes. So, he could play a significant role for Lucknow SuperGiants, as it will likely be a high-scoring affair at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium.
