India have started their Asia Cup 2025 campaign with a bang, cleaning up the hosts UAE for just 57 after electing to bowl first. It was a sheer dominance from Indian bowlers and a one-way traffic, but one incident in the 13th over stood out amidst UAE's struggle.

Sanju Samson Shows MSD-Like Nous In Asia Cup Clash

Shivam Dube was bowling brilliantly and had got the wicket of Dhruv Parashar on the first ball of that 13th over. On the third ball, he delivered it short, and the batter Junaid Siddique missed his pull shot. However, as soon as he missed the ball, the UAE batter pointed towards the towel that fell in the way during Shivam Dube's run-up.

The batter suggested that he lost his concentration because of the same, but while he was doing it, Sanju Samson used his cleverness. The Indian wicketkeeper threw a direct hit at the batter's end, and Junaid Siddique was left short of his crease.

Suryakumar Yadav Addresses UAE Batter's Genuine Concern

The UAE star was distraught as after India's appeal, the screen showed OUT. However, after Suryakumar Yadav understood the genuine concern of the batter, he decided to withdraw the appeal. It is a gesture that is rarely seen in cricket, but as India were on top, it did not make much difference to the men in blue.

UAE were already seven down at that time, and Shivam Dube eventually got the wicket of Junaid Siddique on the next legal ball of the over. They were then bowled out for just 57, and it is the lowest total ever for the UAE in T20Is.

Kuldeep Yadav bagged four while Shivam Dube picked three wickets, and the likes of Varun Chakaravarthy, Axar Patel, and Jasprit Bumrah got one wicket each.
