Why DC Captain Rishabh Pant Is Not Playing Vs RCB?

In match No. 62 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) will host Delhi Capitals (DC) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on May 12, 2024. 

Ahead of the clash, DC captain Rishabh Pant has been handed a one-match suspension for a slow over rate offence against Rajasthan Royals and is all set to miss Delhi's upcoming IPL 2024 face-off against RCB.  

In his absence, Axar Patel has been given the charge and will take responsibility against Bengaluru. Pant’s absence could be a major miss for DC, as the side is still in contention to reach the playoffs, and his missing out against RCB could be harmful for DC.


Rishabh Pant Handed One-Match Suspension Against RCB 

At the beginning of the season, DC faced a series of losses. However, they didn't give up hope and instead made some smart changes to their lineup. One of these changes was introducing Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abhishek Porel into the top-order. 

Since then, the team has been performing at an high level and have registered themselves in the 5th position in the points table. Now, as they prepare to face RCB, Delhi Capitals will miss the the presence of Rishabh Pant. 

At the toss Axar Patel-led Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to field first.
