Experienced Indian all-rounder Axar Patel is all set to lead Delhi Capitals in their 13th group-stage IPL 2024 match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on Sunday evening. 

Notably, DC's regular skipper Rishabh Pant was handed a one-match suspension for slow over rate offence against Rajasthan Royals. 

Therefore, he will miss Sunday's clash against the Royal Challengers at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. In his absence, Axar Patel, known for his incredible all-round attributes, will captain the team. 

Pant's unavailability is a massive blow for the Capitals as he has been impressive as not only a batter but also a captain. 

In 12 innings, he has scored 413 runs at a blistering strike rate of 156.44. However, as he won't play tomorrow's clash, DC might bring in Prithvi Shaw to bolster their batting. 

Regarding Axar, the all-rounder has enjoyed stellar success in the competition, amassing 164 runs and scalping 10 wickets, contributing significantly to DC's success. 

The Capitals have found their mojo recently, winning three of their last four matches. So, they will try their level best to secure a win and boost their playoff qualification chances.
