The 59th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will feature the home team, Punjab Kings up against Rajasthan Royals at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. RR are already out of the the IPL playoff race but they can spoil Punjab's party who aim to qualify for the next round.

Shreyas Iyer won the toss and he elected to bat first and the team made quite a few interesting changes, with one of them being the inclusion of Australian X-factor, Mitch Owen. The Aussie will make his PSL debut against RR and will bat in the middle order. But the question is, who has he replaced in the lineup?.

Who has Mitch Owen replaced?

In the last match between PBKS and DC which was suspended, Marcus Stoinis was a part of the Punjab playing XI, but he is not there in the lineup and hasn't arrived in India after the IPL resumption. Owen replaces his Aussie teammate, Stoinis and has big shoes to fill in.

For his franchise in the Big Bash League, Owen opens the batting, but with Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh occupying that spot, Mitch Owen is likely to bat at 3.

What's at stake for PBKS?

If Punjab beat RR, they will become the first team to qualify for the IPL playoffs and will go top of the table, over RCB and GT. For RR, this is a chance to salvage some pride after getting eliminated.
