For the second leg of the all-format bilateral tour, Afghanistan will lock horns against Zimbabwe in the first ODI of the three-game series. The series opener is scheduled to take place on December 17 at the Harare Sports Club from 1:00 PM IST.

Afghanistan previously clinched the T20I series with a 2-1 lead after Rashid Khan starred with a four-wicket-haul in the final. In a low-scoring thriller, the visiting team struggled to chase 128 runs due to a top-order collapse before Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi stepped in to the rescue. 

With the momentum in hand and ace Rashid in splendid form, Afghanistan will look to extend their dominance in the ODI series as well. On the other hand, Zimbabwe needs desperate redemption to improve their track record in international cricket.
