Sri Lankan pacer and RCB’s newest recruit, Nuwan Thushara, unleashed carnage with the new ball to dismiss Kyle Myers with an unplayable yorker in an exciting Lanka T10 clash. In the very first over, Nuwan bowled a quick yorker that Myer failed to get under and saw his stump flying in an embarrassing dismissal.

The Lanka T10 League saw an exciting clash unfold between Jaffna Titans and Nuwara Eliya Kings on December 15. Batting first, the Titans posted a giant total of 154 runs on the board. Tom Abell’s fiery fifty and Asalanka’s supporting role soared the total.

While the Eliya Kings entered the chase in good spirits, Nuwan Thushara spoiled their plans with a sensational opening over. On the very first ball, he dismissed Avishka Fernando as the batter holed out to Kusal Mendis, leading to a golden duck dismissal. 

Nuwan Thushara stuns in Lanka T10 League

For the third delivery, Thushara delivered his trademark yorker to bowl out Kyle Myers. His execution was on point and the remarkable pace left Myer in tatters as he failed to defend it and the ball crashed into the stumps, leading to an embarrassing dismissal. 

Courtesy to Nuwan Thushara’s sensational opening over, Jaffna Kings succumbed to 100/8, leading to a 53 runs defeat. 

For the IPL 2025 season, RCB bought Nuwan Thushara for INR 1.60 crores during the mega auction. He earlier played for Mumbai Indians and took eight wickets in as many games.

Zahoor Khan takes hattrick in Lanka T10 League

UAE pacer Zahoor Khan made history in Lanka T10 Super League as he became the first bowler to take a hattrick in the tournament. Zahoor, representing Galle Marvels, bowled a brilliant spell against the Colombo Jaguars in the 14th match at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.

Defending a relatively small total, Zahoor tore down the Jaguars' tail to send Angelo Mathews, Sadeera Samarawickrama and Matheesha Pathirana in successive balls.
