Games are thick and fast as the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 is cruising towards its business end. On Friday, the defending champions, Gujarat Titans, will be in the den of the most successful IPL team, Mumbai Indians. However, a lot will be in the hands of rain at the Wankhede Stadium as the autumn season is almost about to get started in the southern part of India.

As per a leading weather predicting application, there is no rain prediction in Mumbai until 10 PM IST (on May 12); however, there is a three-hour window for showers afterwards. As per the application, there is a 30% chance of drizzle from 10 PM to 1 AM in Mumbai.

The Hardik Pandya-led Gujarat are currently at the top of the points table, with 16 points after 11 matches with an NRR of 0.951. Meanwhile, Mumbai - who have three of their last matches - have 12 points after 11 games and need to win at least two of their remaining three matches to keep their qualification for the playoff in their hands.

Earlier, when these two sides met, Mumbai saw an embarrassing defeat by the hands of the Titans at Ahmedabad, as the five-time champions crumbled to 152 runs in a chase of 208. But things have changed as they have successfully chased 200+ targets since then.
