Indian stalwart, Virat Kohli's extraordinary fielding skills shone brightly in the recently concluded three-match T20I series between India and Afghanistan. Kohli, known for his sharp, athletic, and agile presence on the field, left fans and critics alike in awe with a display of sheer brilliance during the third T20I.

Kohli's electrifying fielding from third T20I vs AFG wins fans over

The Indian cricketing star, who missed the series opener, made a significant impact upon his return, not just with the bat but more so in the field. A particular moment from the final game of the series, now viral on social media, proves Kohli's fielding genius.

Fielding at deep mid-wicket, Kohli dashed towards the ball with lightning speed, scooping it up single-handedly in a fluid motion and launching a bullet throw towards the non-striker’s end.

The throw was so rapid and precise that it almost resulted in a run-out, had the bowler been able to intercept and hit the stumps.

Besides this, Kohli also produced a sensational running catch in the deep and an incredible boundary save at long-on. Notably, for his fielding heroics, Kohli was also given the ‘Best Fielder of the Series’ medal by fielding coach T. Dilip.

These moments of fielding excellence were in stark contrast to Kohli's performance with the bat, where he was unfortunately dismissed for a golden duck. However, his brisk knock of 29 off 16 balls in the second T20I showcased his new attacking approach, deviating from his usual batting style.

Coming to the final game of the series, it was a nail-biting encounter. With the match ending in a dramatic tie at 212 runs, the match extended into not one, but two 'Super Overs'.

The first Super Over heightened the suspense with yet another tie, but it was in the second Super Over that India sealed their victory. Key performances in the second Super Over by Ravi Bishnoi and Rohit Sharma were instrumental in India securing a 3-0 whitewash.

While the series win was a collective effort, it's Kohli's brilliance in the field that shows fielding can be just as electrifying and game-changing as batting or bowling.
