He may no longer be the captain of the Indian Test team, but the legendary Virat Kohli still remains the leader of the set-up. And, this was on full show as Team India made its way to the ground for the World Test Championship final against Australia on Wednesday morning.

On an overcast morning in London, Indian skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and he had no hesitation in opting to bowl first.

As the players made their way out for the start of play, Virat proceeded to give a last-minute pep talk.

Meanwhile, seamer Mohammed Siraj helped India draw the first blood on the opening morning as he drew an outside edge of opener Usman Khawaja's bat to send the southpaw packing for a duck.

In favorable conditions, Siraj got the ball to move both ways, while also occasionally attracting extra bounce to trouble Marnus Labuschagne.

However, Labuschagne and David Warner ensured that Australia did not lose any more wickets during the 1st hour as Mohammed Shami continued to struggle in finding the ideal length from the other end.

Earlier, India opted to bench No.1 ranked bowler R Ashwin for seam-bowling all-rounder Shardul Thakur, who did brilliantly in his last outing at the Oval.

India will hope their decision doesn't backfire as the game wears on.
