India have ended the play on day 4 on a happier note as they have avoided follow-on after stumps. The visitors are 252/9 and had to rely on Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep to do the magic for them. 

Notably, India were reduced to 213/9 and required 33 runs at that moment to avoid the follow-on. Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah and Akash Deep stitched an unbeaten 39-run stand to get past the 245-run mark. 

Akash Deep Stuns Cummins

As soon as India crossed the 245-run figure, the dressing room erupted in joy as they knew they pulled off a difficult task. Meanwhile, Akash Deep too hogged the internet after he whacked Pat Cummins for a massive six that got the crowd erupted. 

Deep, who is batting on 27 (31), has already hit two fours and a solitary six. On the 4th ball of the 75th over, he slapped Cummins for a six down the ground. The camera then focused on the dressing room, where Virat Kohli was shocked by Deep's batting prowess and his reaction is now doing rounds on the internet. 

Jasprit Bumrah Takes On Cummins As Well

Cummins had a great day with the ball as he was Australia's best-bowler and took four-wickets so far and is eyeing his fifth wicket. However, he faced trouble bowling to the tail-enders as apart from Akash Deep, he was also silenced Jasprit Bumrah. 

Notably, Bumrah had also smashed Cummins for a six, when he pulled him for a maximum early on in his innings.
