Bumrah Six- (Source:@ScreenGrab)
In the ongoing 3rd Test between India and Australia at the Gabba In Brisbane, Jasprit Bumrah has hogged the headlines with the bat for a change. The MI star has often taken the limelight for the magic he produces with the ball, but on day 4 of the 3rd Test, he became the talk of the town after he pulled Pat Cummins for a six.
Bumrah came to bat when India were 201/8. Meanwhile, on the first ball of the 68th over, Cummins tested Bumrah with a short ball but he was stunned after the MI star whacked him for a massive six with a pull shot. Watch the video here.
The six saw Cummins laughing as he did not expect Jasprit to whack him for a maximum. Notably, Cummins found success after he got Jadeja out in a similar manner. Following the six, he pitched more bouncers to Bumrah, but the vice-captain did not even flinch.
Bumrah Hit Back To The Reporter
On December 16, Bumrah attended a press conference, where the reporter asked him about India's flop show with the bat and undermined Bumrah's ability to score runs. The right-arm seamer took a note of it and quickly reminded the reporter of his 35-runs over against Stuart Broad in 2022, which to date holds the record for most runs in a single over in Test cricket.
Talking about the ongoing match, Bumrah and Akash Deep are trying to take India's score for more than 245 runs to avoid follow-on. At the moment, India are 228/9 and need 17 runs to avoid the follow-on.
