Ravindra Jadeja has once again proved his mettle on the international stage, this time in the ongoing Gabba Test against Australia, where his well-constructed knock helped India to avoid embarrassment and avoid the follow-on.

After being given a place in the playing XI for the first time in this series, Jadeja did not waste any time making an impact with the bat. India, facing a massive deficit of 371 runs, were struggling at 74/5 when Jadeja walked in to bat. With a mountain to climb, Jadeja displayed a stunning combination of grit and flair, and guided  India with a brilliant 77 runs off 123 balls.

Despite the weather disruptions, Ravindra Jadeja and Nitish Reddy remained composed, steadily weathering the Australian bowling attack. As the rain ceased and play resumed, Jadeja celebrated his hard-fought half-century with his signature sword celebration. 

While Jadeja's bowling didn't have much of an impact in the first innings, the focus shifted entirely to his batting as India faced a daunting task. His partnership with Nitish was crucial, as the pair put together 121 runs for the sixth wicket.
