When Virat Kohli is happy, more than half of the world is happy. And it was that kind of day at MCG when India and Australia were up against each other in the Boxing Day Test match.

To leave everyone surprised, Kohli did the captaincy duty ahead of Rohit Sharma during the majority of Australia’s second innings. He, in fact, set the field multiple times, and went towards the bowlers to say what exactly it needs to be done.

At the time, he brought out his supremely funny antics on the field, bringing good old memories when he used to do the same every now and then. More often than not, it felt like he was just a child, not a superstar.

Australia In Charge Vs India At MCG

Australia, despite losing Sam Konstas early, are still in driver's seat. They are 39/1, leading by 144 runs after India's 369 in the first innings. They rode on Steve Smith's excellent knock to post 464 runs on the board, and as things stand, they are in control of the game, and India need to stage a comeback to keep themselves alive for the WTC 2025 final race.

For Australia, Marnus Labuschagne and Usman Khawaja are in the middle, batting on 10* and 20* respectively, while India got the breakthrough due to Jasprit Bumrah's excellence.
