Sunrisers Hyderabad faced Delhi Capitals in the 11th match of IPL 2025 at the ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam on March 30.

After opting to bat first, SRH got off to a disastrous start, losing wickets in quick succession. Star opener Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for just 1 run off 1 ball, followed by Ishan Kishan, who managed only 2 runs.

Travis Head looked promising at the crease, but the innings took another hit when Nitish Reddy was sent back for a duck by Mitchell Starc. Two overs later, Starc struck again, removing Head after KL Rahul took a sharp catch, making it his third wicket of the match.

With Heinrich Klaasen and Aniket Verma at the crease, SRH was hoping to rebuild their innings. However, in the 11th over, Mohit Sharma delivered a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Klaasen, thanks to a stunning catch from Vipraj Nigam.

Bowling at 129.1 kmph, Mohit Sharma sent down a full-length delivery on the stumps. Klaasen planted his front leg and attempted a big shot across the line, but he only managed a leading edge. The ball soared towards the backward point region.


Vipraj Nigam, positioned inside the circle, quickly turned and sprinted back while keeping his eyes on the swirling ball. Managing to get under it just in time, he grabbed the catch close to his chest and tumbled to complete the dismissal. Klaasen departed after scoring 32 off 19 balls, dealing a major blow to SRH.

SRH Eye 150 Amid Struggles

At the time of writing, SRH was struggling to post a competitive total, a stark contrast to their usual aggressive batting performances. They are at 121 for 6 in the 13th over, aiming to reach at least the 150-run mark.
