Ishan Kishan fails against DC [Source: JioHostar]
Ishan Kishan, who made headlines with a brilliant century in Sunrisers Hyderabad’s (SRH) first match of IPL 2025, couldn’t continue his good form against Delhi Capitals. He was dismissed for just 2 runs off 5 balls in the 10th match of the tournament at ACA–VDCA Cricket Stadium, Visakhapatnam, on March 30.
SRH Struggle In Powerplay Against DC
It was a rough start for SRH, as their top-order collapsed after opting to bat first. Abhishek Sharma was the first to go, getting out for just 1 run on the very first ball. Ishan Kishan walked in to join Travis Head but couldn’t last long either.
His dismissal came in the 3rd over when Mitchell Starc, bowling from over the wicket, delivered a short ball outside off at 139.1 kmph. Ishan attempted an aggressive cut shot but ended up hitting it straight to Tristan Stubbs at deep backward point, who took a clean catch just inside the boundary.
This marks back-to-back low scores for Ishan after his impressive century in the opening match. Meanwhile, Delhi Capitals celebrated the key wickets, putting SRH under pressure early in the game.
At the time of writing, SRH are struggling at 31/3 in 3.3 overs, with Travis Head and Aniket Verma at the crease.
