[Watch] Trent Boult’s Spectacular Juggling Catch Ends Bas de Leede’s Stay

Trent Boult is known for taking incredible catches on the field thanks to his exceptional athleticism and astute mental faculties. The Kiwi pacer once again proved his worth on the field on Monday (October 9) in Hyderabad during New Zealand’s World Cup 2023 fixture against the Netherlands.

Boult’s athleticism was on display when Bas de Leede tried to go big against Rachin Ravindra in an attempt to loft him over mid-off. However, the timing was not great, and Boult had so much work to do in order to make it a wicket.

The Kiwi left-arm quick first took the catch and then saw the momentum of the ball taking him out of the boundary rope. With quick thinking, he flicked the ball with his left hand in the air and then calmly made his way back to the middle to complete the catch.


Matt Henry was delighted to see Boult complete the catch in that manner, and he was the first to congratulate him.

The Netherlands have put up a spirited performance against New Zealand after coming to chase 323. The Dutch side, at the time of writing, are on 99/3 at the end of 21.5 overs.
